This day seemed to come quickly. Kaley and Ross are the kind of couple we were instantly drawn to and comfortable with and felt like we just FIT into their day. We felt so lucky each time that we were around them- their engagement session followed by dinner at Mellow Mushroom, D’town Franklin, Tenn. Then Kaley’s bridal session which I will be posting in the next few days- strolling around in her gorgeous dress Downtown Nashville. THEN there was Nick and Shelly’s wedding where Kaley and Ross were guests and helped us with their sparkler pic which is crazy because at Kaley and Ross’ wedding, Nick and Shelly returned the favor and helped with THEIR sparkler pic (if you just started following frozenexposure.net, you’re not familiar with the story of Nick and Shelly because we started it on our old blog- but we’ll actually be starting that story all over again here on the new blog soon!). So a lot of fun happened before this beautiful wedding day, and then- a lot of fun happened ON the wedding day.
So here’s where I give away the fact that Bobby covered this first shot while I was covering the ladies and I have NO idea what this game is. My guess is that one would thump the paper triangle around and win? Whatever it is, here here. Way to go fellas. I can tell you, the guys RARELY are under the pressure the ladies are and this is waaaaaaaay proof. We have to deal with hair, makeup, the dress fitting, shoes, accessories and you guys….you do THIS.

Well, okay, I take it back. Ross is reading a letter written by his bride-to-very-soon-be. And we REALLY love to see something like this happen on the wedding day. Getting ready is one of the most worrisome times for couples and getting a letter from your soon-to-be-forever-and-ever is such a stress reliever, it just opens up everything and reminds you “Hey, this is what it’s about…..it’s all going to be ok.”

Is it possible to fall in love with a hanger?

Ah, I love this. =) These guys are just perfect together.

What an AWESOME bridesmaids gift! Also, quite handy in helping to remember their names- well, if it’s acceptable to call them by their initials. Hey, BDS!

I turned the corner to check and ensure Kaley’s Dad wasn’t where he could see the girls. First, I noticed how amazingly happy and content he seemed just waiting for Kaley to be ready for her wedding day. Second- I noticed his flip flops. When I asked about them, he told me that he’d walked his other daughter down the aisle in those flip flops. I think they are glorious. And I think this moment is very very special. It really shows how happy, supportive and patient a father Kaley has.

And all of those great qualities are in the lady zipping up this dress as well- Kaley’s mom. Who also, might I add, you will learn was the first and last person on the dance floor. :o)
Kaley’s Mom helping her with her necklace.

Kaley’s Grandmother’s ring- her “something borrowed.” Beautiful.

Kaley is ever the sports fan. =) You’ll see.

Something about Mrs. Kaley Lyons in a black and white photograph is just one of my favorite things. It’s her complexion, her dark hair and striking eyes and- it’s just KALEY.

Are you ready for an adorable first look between Daddy and Daughter? I’m going to hush and let you enjoy the expressions:

That last image of Kaley and her Dad, btw, is MY FAVORITE.
(below image) Kaley handed me these scrabble pieces for their ring shot and I said “Scrabble” and Kaley nodded. I asked if she and Ross actually played and she said “Yes! I never win.” When I posted this on Facebook, she commented it was because she married a genius. =) I love it. But Kaley does this adorable little tiny voice around Ross and Ross only. It makes me wonder if she lets him win….

Now it’s time for Ross to see his Kaley for the first time in her wedding dress. They’ve picked the older part of St. Philip’s Catholic Church as the spot. It’s got an amazing charm to it. Buuuut, you’ll have to wait to see that in the next blog post.
