THE FIRST LOOK // SAVANNAH {+} JOSH // A DAY AT MANDALAY // DICKSON TN // NASHVILLE AND NATIONWIDE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS FROZEN EXPOSURE

We love a great first look- and we shoo’ed everyone off to make sure it would be private – so what’s extra special here is that you still see friends and family being sneaky behind the fence, crying, HA! =) I think it’s pretty precious. TAKE TIME TO SOAK EACH SECOND IN AND ENJOY!

And now for some of the most romantic “we are about to get married” images ever….

P18C5109Below is a very special token from Savannah’s thoughtful bridesmaid, Melissa. Savannah’s mom noticed that she always had the token facing out; it just made me feel so often that with him facing out- he was seeing everything. I know that might sound silly, but?

Savannah and Bobby’s brother, Charlie, died in an automobile crash back in October of 2003. I knew I wouldn’t have the nerve to speak at the wedding, so I messaged Savannah two nights before her wedding. I’ve debated over sharing it, but it’s obvious how overemotional, sentimental I get with my love of photographs, videos, and documenting and preserving moments, so there’s really nothing to hide. At the wedding, I met a lot of King/Macks family members for the first time, and I’d love them to know some of my thoughts- so here’s that message to Savannah:

“Wow. I’ve probably known you the shortest time out of everyone at your wedding, but seeing your life change in such awesome ways and watching you grow into a mother and now a wife in just a couple of days has been one of the greatest honors. I hate that Bobby and I met so late in life sometimes because it means I never met Charlie, although from the stories, I feel like I did. I hate that I will never know him like you guys did. But I feel like getting to be a part of these moments in your life, watching you sniffle and smile over your newborn boy, watching you fight like crazy to provide for him, and now to be a bridesmaid for the first time ever- as you walk down the aisle- I thank God for bringing me into this family at least in time to catch these moments.”

Thank you, Charlie, for sharing your family with me and for being a big part of Savannah and Josh’s wedding day. Thanks for all of the dreams that I have where you are at our family events and part of the story- it’s crazy how my brain, without ever having met you, includes you in stories that I dream.
