How excited are we that out of hundreds (thousands?) of entries, our photograph of Bailee has made it into the TOP FOUR COVER FINALISTS for The Pink Bride magazine being released Sunday, August 24th 2014 at The Pink Bride Bridal Show at Music City Center, Nashville, Tennessee!!
This is a massive honor and there are tons of beautiful brides who were entered in the contest; we know this must be so exciting for all of the brides entered as well as the 4 that have made the final cut! We entered several brides from 2014 and 2015 weddings and it was a super tough choice. Hats off to The Pink Bride for being able to narrow it down to 4! I could never have chosen!
Read on to see how you can vote for Frozen Exposure and for Bailee (the girl with the hombre hair, mustard yellow cardigan, big beautiful smile and stars in her eyes; the girl who is designing a life she loves, sung “A Thousand Years” to her husband on her wedding day after being married under a thousand year old tree- okay, maybe it was a hundred or two?, carried her wedding vows in the pocket of her wedding dress, and designed her entire wedding herself, using Nashville’s most beloved vendors as her sidekicks! ). Bailee’s wedding story will feature photography by Nashville (and Worldwide) photographers and cinematographers Frozen Exposure, super sharp tuxedos thanks to Street Tuxedo of Nashville, as well as gorgeous floral arrangements by The Enchanted Florist (including a surprise large pink protea), the sweetest blush pink bridesmaid dresses, entertainment by Spangler Entertainment, a mustard yellow to pink ombre cake by Pleasant View’s The Brown Sugar Cake Room, with the ceremony and reception at The Carnton Plantation in Franklin, Tennessee.

Now to tell you the story behind this image of Bailee!
Bailee told us once that when she and her mom visited a Pink Bride Bridal Show, she was watching the current magazine cover winner walk on stage in her wedding dress. She said as she and her mom stood shoulder to shoulder, watching this excited bride that they had seen on the magazine cover take the stage, her mom leaned over to her and whispered “Just think. That will be you next year!”
At this point, Bobby and I hadn’t even began a relationship with The Pink Bride. We certainly hadn’t thought of having one of our darling brides on the cover of their magazine. Bailee’s mom was speaking from pure adoration and wistfulness for her engaged daughter.
By chance, Bobby one day approached me with doing a bridal show. We did it an fell in love with the experience of The Pink Bride and the entire Jacobs family and their team of awesomeness (Elizabeth, Anna, Kara) ALL of them! So when they began a cover contest we said….OK. Let’s do it. When Elizabeth called us to tell us Bailee made it into the finals, we FLIPPED! WE IMMEDIATELY CALLED BAILEE, who answered the call at work and did a broadway worthy job of containing her excitement and not acting crazy in front of her peers- so I did all the screaming and hopping for her in my home kitchen. Even spilled my coffee a little.
There is so much more to this story to share, but I’ll save that for Bailee to share after YOU GUYS ALL VOTE AND HELP HER WIN THE COVER!
